Alright, Hank Da Tank here. I'm going to teach you how to do a very simple omelet.
Have a little bit of cheese, salt, pepper, little stick of butter there. Got some eggs I have already beaten up and added a little bit of milk too. I'm just going to put a little pepper right in there, little bit of salt. I am going to flavor it up there, and I've got my pan already heated up and my bell pepper is ready to go.
So, I'm just going to ahead and stick some butter in there, we are going go ahead and add a little bit of bell pepper. If you want, you can add a little ham in there, salt at the top and pepper as well. Let's go ahead and get this started to cook, now you will just go ahead and add your egg. You just want to pull away from the edges here, so that way you build up a nice little base, as you can see. It's going just keep going around, see how it's solid there, come back this way, push it all down.
You don't want to do this over too high heat, you want to get your pan going, you want to give yourself a little bit of time and work here. Just pull it off the sides there, build it up. Let that just cook up, settle in for one second, and then we are going to try the flip. Now, don't be nervous about the flip, if you mess up and make a mess you can always clean it. I do recommend practicing it a couple of times without an audience. You want to get this going, make sure it's good. Voila!
If you want it, this is where you can add a little bit of cheese, just make sure you get a nice, good, even melt on it. And then if you want to check where you are at; you can always lift up, take a look, it's not quite there yet. I'm going to grab a plate though while it's settling in. so I am going to go ahead and check it out here. Oh yeah! It's looking good.
What you want to do is bring it over to the plate and fold that on there. Boom! That is an omelet. Let's go ahead and take a look at the center here. Cut that. Oh yeah! It's still melting there, but you are going to have a nice omelet. It's not over cooked; it's got nice color to it. Let's go ahead and take a bite. Here we go.
