Todd: I'm Todd. I'm 29, I'm from Chicago, Illinois, and I would like to know how a man with a bad back can maintain a healthy sex life without worsening his back problems? Andrew Sama: So Todd, thank you for having the courage to ask this question. It's something that most patients don't want to ask, but everyone thinks about. I think, fundamental to having a healthy sex life and back health is maintaining good back conditioning. So isometric stabilization exercises, stretching and strengthening as part of your daily routine, will not only ensure that you have a productive and healthy sex life, but it will also hopefully prevent any back injuries from occurring in your other activities of daily living.
