Audra Lowe: Bake me a Wish I heard about it all over the place but you also have thing called operation.
Josh Kaye: Perfect, let me tell you on, let me tell you a little bit about Bake me a Wish, BakemeaWish.com is a place where you send cakes out for your love ones everywhere in the country for their birthday. And part of the mission the company is not just to make other people feel good but to spread love three ways you, the person who's giving it, the person who's receiving it and also to another person who you empowered to feel good value giving a gift.
So one of the things we came up with was the freedom cake. This is a wonderfully delicious, moist, brownie cake triple in rub chocolate brownie cake and when you send one for a loved one for a birthday we’ll donate another one to a soldier overseas.
Audra Lowe: So that’s the third person that enjoys, that, yes.
Josh Kaye: That's exactly, I love three way and you know out of it we have all kinds of delicious cake so we donate 5% of our proceeds to operation birthday cake. We've been send out thousands of cakes to soldiers overseas.
Audra Lowe: And you’ve been doing this since the beginning.
Josh Kaye: You have no idea when a soldier receives a cake in the mountains of Afghanistan and ordered high in Iraq. On their birthday what it does to make them feel good they're really.
Audra Lowe: They had great reaction to this it's right.
Josh Kaye: Oh, it’s phenomenal absolutely phenomenal.
Audra Lowe: Now and you get to send them all kinds of flavors you've got not just a regular birthday cake these are all different I mean I like that red velvet that.
Josh Kaye: Oh, the red velvet and its phenomenal with the cream cheese frosting. You know what we have cakes that go overseas that could withstand the trip. We have other cakes to come here , goes in here in the United States but in all of them are made with a down home American flavor so when meet our soldiers overseas receive it. They feel like they're back home for the moment.
Audra Lowe: It's all in one piece when they receive it right it's not torn off.
Josh Kaye: There you go, having a cake arriving in one piece that’s so good.
Audra Lowe: This in particular is made by a woman in Angelo Logan is that correct.
Josh Kaye: Oh, this is very interest in the story we met a woman who was having financial difficulties issues being foreclosed upon a mortgage. I she started baking cakes to make herself, to empowers have to get out of the mortgage. And she couldn't bake the cakes she had orders for so we took a recipe and we will license her and now we're baking cakes for Angelo Logan. And so not only now are we giving cakes that helped Angela Logan was given a portion to green path. Which is a financial institution helps people with their mortgages and helps people with their, in their situation to get them out of their situation.
Audra Lowe: So we're packing on a few pounds and in here low calories here and there but its all for a good cause and justify it, right.
Josh Kaye: And their all delicious, delicious, delicious and I don’t need birth day or special occasion you shouldn't be thinking about calories.
