Welcome to Sunday night shooter edition of Common man cocktail, I’m your host Derrick Schommer and today we’re going to do a simple trick. We’ve be doing a lot of simple drinks. This is called the banana slip.
Two ingredients, cream de banana, and Baileys. If you’ve done any of the other recipes or any of the other Sunday night shooters with the last month I think, we’ve been on a banana, cream de banana kick, and Baileys seems to show up everywhere we go. So were going to stick with that theme, we’re going to put these guys is a pos cafés style again layered.
We’re going to put in the banana, we’re going to put in the Baileys and we’re going to walk out of here. So these are our two ingredients, we’ve already got them pretty measured. Let’s go, we’re going to put in one ounce of cream de banana, now seems kind of tall, right. It almost fills the entire glass; they’re going to float the Baileys on top. We’re going to use our spoon for that. So we’ll start floating and then will take a look what it looks like. It’s a little bit floats huh? Did I mention we haven’t trained this yet? This is one of our spare the moment life ideas. We thought it was a good one but we’ve not tried it.
We also adjust to the measurements, just a little bit; it looks like we just pulled that off, wow. It depends on the size of your shot glass, but the original one was at 1 ½, it was 1 ½ of each, first problem with, that and I check this out. The first problem I have with 1 ½ of each is obviously it wouldn’t fit; this is only an ounce of each. The second problem is Baileys, but cream de banana I think this is enough. Unless you’re a huge fan, you’re going to be thinking, how much do these to I really I want to consume? Got it? Did you get a nice shot? Sweet and I think is about all we really want to consume. It’s just the right amount. No idea what’s this going to taste like, so let’s try it out.
Smooth, you know what. I think it’s the Baileys that have to burn. That burns, Baileys pretty kind--, and this is good. Very simple, its banana coffee, I think I like it. I like anything coffee, so if you know you’re not a big fan of coffee, you’ve got to make your own judgment. Of course making one is, if you got these two ingredients, it’s not that difficult make one, let’s see if you like it. Like I said, since I like everything with coffee, coffee banana, I like banana, I like coffee, definitely a good drink. But those who do it real ingredients you going to have this, there's no new combinations of soda flavors, you’re not getting any weird coconuts or anything. You’re getting Baileys creamy coffee bananas on top.
