What uniform should women wear? I’m assuming you mean for private events, and that’s a good question. I would stay away from the high heels, ladies, unless you just want to be completely uncomfortable the entire night. And I’m usually, recently I’m just going with the all black, so I have all my servers and female bartenders wear all black. And the majority of them, 99% of them will just wear the black pants and usually, actually like a short sleeved black shirt or kind of blouse thing.
But just all black is a basic neutral color that always works. So, but you want to make sure you’re comfortable. Comfortable shoes is like the number 1 thing because you are going to be on your feet for 5 hours minimum, and you don’t need to be in high heels. So that’s my advice for that.
No tuxedo shirts and bow ties, I, you know honestly for myself, I’ve just gone to the point where I just stopped using the tuxedo shirt. I had to get it dry cleaned every single time you spill cranberry juice on it and it’s done. So, it looks great and it’s very impressive, it’s really cool, but I really don’t think it’s imperative. But department stores sell this shirt and bow tie for like $35. So, something to think about, I’m personally telling you myself, I’m going all black right now.
