I am (Bell Sound), and this is The Shirtless Apprentice.
On this week’s episode, I am going to bring you through some basic media organization. It is some simple steps and equipment that you are going to need after you shoot your Podcast.
So, you are done shooting you Podcast, you are going to have a tape. And, your tape is going to have all your footage on it, but it needs to be translated to the computer, and that is called Digitizing and you are going to capture using some sort of deck. So, that we are going to start.
I like to use a mini DV Camera, preferably a cheap, stripped down camera. You can use an old camera if you have maybe. It takes the ware and tare off of you, I presume to be a better camera and it is going to light to date your footage to a hard drive.
The next thing that you do not want to look at is making sure you have enough space for this footage that you are about to capture. This I have here is an external 1 Terabyte hard drive, more than enough room for most Podcasters. Has Firewire 800, Firewire 400 in USB. You can use it with almost any,
You can use this hard drive with almost any computer and it comes in an about $350.00. It is fanned cooled. That has Firewire 800, and it is pretty much everything that you need to add worth.
Lastly, is your editing platform. I like to use my Mac for Pro and Final Cut. But, you can use Final Cut,
I like to use my Mac Pro here,
Because I edit it with Final Cut, Final Cut, you can get Final Cut Express with that a $150.00, relatively easy to learn. There is quite a few online tutorials for it and a lot of knowledge basis out there for.
Allow you to do all the simple editing that you need and allow you to export it to MP4, to all the popular formats. That is pretty much it.
