Hey, how’s going on everybody? This is a nice tutorial for beginners. We are going to do 3 simple tricks in just one tutorial.
First trick we will learn, it is nice little,
Change like that.
It is really simple to do, pretty effective.
What we are going to do for this trick is take you top card here,
Push it forward.
About half way forward, pull the 2nd card back with your palm.
When it is backing up, like push her up,
Push it forward. Cover that top card, just like that.
I will do it with my index finger so you can see what is happening underneath,
Forward, move back with the palm,
Right over there,
Simple as that, nice and effective, easy trick to learn.
2nd trick we will going to learn, spread the deck like this,
Hold on to the bottom card right here, really nice and loosely.
Flip the card on top of the other, in your left hand.
In this case, we got King of Diamonds.
What we are going to do is when you flip the King of Diamonds back over,
Reach over, and pull off the bottom card.
Full speed, it looks like this,
Feeling about this trick is people never notice that you have taken that, see?
They will never notice.
What we are going to do; now we have this fake card on top,
Put it in and just hold it with that deck.
Open this deck, shuffle them,
Whuss!
Use a little magic snap, wave, whatever you want,
Show them their card and it is still there.
(Intermission, the Mechanic’s Grip)
The next requires something called The Mechanic’s Grip.
This is found in lots of tricks.
What we are going to do is place the deck in your hand,
And hold it with you thumb along the edge right here,
Your Index finger, place it at the top of the deck.
Remaining 3 fingers will hold on the side.
Sometimes the variations with the pinky is down the bottom, but I find more comfortable over here,
What is good with the Mechanic’s Grip, if you hold it nice and loose,
It is still, pretty secure there.
Let us go to the last trick.
Alright the 3rd trick,
Hold it like Mechanic’s Grip; now, we just learned.
Now, what we want to do with this trick is it’s a Psychic Stop.
First thing we want to do is show the audience the deck, just show them. It is all mess up, there is no way you can possibly remember anything in the card.
What you actually doing here is covering of the fact that you remembering the top card, in this case the Ace of Spades.
Show the deck and remember that card.
Close it, placed it in the Mechanic’s Grip.
What we are going to do is just riff through the deck and tell the expectators to say stop.
Say, they say stop there, it does not matter one bit.
Open the deck like this, this is very important.
