Benefits to Living on Campus

Hi! I'm Dr. Richard Stevens, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Director of Residence Life at Shepherd University. Today, I'm going to talk to you about on campus versus off campus living. What are some benefits to living on campus? When a student lives on campus, they get great access to the university at all times. So whenever an office or the convenience on campus is open, they can get directly to that. They have a community that built-in by living in the residence halls. They live with 50to 75 to 100 to 200 other student and they have interaction with them 24/7 and this is an opportunity for them to get to know other people very quickly and develop friendships at any institution.
