Male: Clear Water Beach is on the southwest tip of St. David’s Island off the end of the airport runway. Tourists don’t know it, Bermudians do. It can be empty on Sundays but on hot summer days, there are plenty of trees to provide a break from the relentless sun.
It’s best to enjoy the days here to the fullest from sunrise to sunset. And then enjoy dinner at a fine restaurant. People still dress for dinner in many places and Bermuda lives up to its reputation because some restaurants are very expensive. And don’t let an evening go by without going outside, standing or sitting very quietly and listening to the night long chorus provided free of charge by the Bermuda tree frogs.
When you do travel to Bermuda, you’ll need to bring only your US passport or other form of identification. No VISA is required but you must have a return ticket home and across the Caribbean, that’s generally the rule. Short stays are between 14 and 90 days waive the need for a travel VISA. But check with the country before you leave home.
But for all its natural beauty, visitors to these islands rave about the friendliness of Bermudians and it brings many tourists back, again and again.
Female: The weather’s beautiful. Everyone’s very friendly. The hotels are great. The beach is fantastic.
Female: I think Bermuda is terrific. The people are really nice. I just love the weather, I love the water, I like everything about it.
Male: Now, let me level with you, I love Bermuda and I come here often. If you haven’t been to Bermuda, consider coming. You too may fall in love with it from the top of Gibbs Hill Lighthouse to the bottom of the ocean and during Fall into Spring and golden rendezvous month in February, a good thing gets even better because it’s cheaper.
