Vail Colorado. The Vail Mountain Resort is the largest, single mountain ski resort on the US and second largest in North America to Whistler Blackcomb. In fact, on an average day there are only two skiers per acre of terrain. This means fresh tracks are abundant plus there are so many runs you never have to ski the same on twice. The mountain is separated into three distinct sections each of which offers a unique variety of ski conditions to patrons. A mountain covered with wide open terrain plus great night life makes this a popular location.
Lake Tahoe California. Lake Tahoe is found on the California-Nevada border and as The United States’ second largest Alpine lake. Another location recognized for its scenic beauty, Lake Tahoe is also well known for its blizzards. The area also features the largest concentration of ski resorts in the US including Heavenly Mountain Resort, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. As many of the runs in Tahoe are intermediate, it’s a great choice for family skitters.
Whistler Blackcomb, British Columbia Canada. A friendly ski resort town in British Columbia, Whistler boost the long season with spring skiing and riding until June. Truly special features of the Whistler Blackcomb Resort are the unparalleled mountains. The largest area of ski able terrain in north an America coupled with the gondola that can carry you between the two mountains make this resort an incredible experience. Most importantly, the people of Whistler are genuinely friendly. Though the ski area is much hyped, it leaves up to the buzz and more.
