Hi Guys! We are preheating our big green egg right now, and something that I have like to show you before we actually get our steaks on this grill is the wide range of temperatures that you can achieve on this unit. But right now, we are preheating, and what we are going to do is we are going to actually take in close to lid on it, and show you just how quick this grill can get up to our searing high heat temperatures.
On some instances, this particular grill actually is just as good if not better than a lot of the high in gas grills that are out there on the market. What I am going to do is I am going to take and shut the lid on it. You can watch this temperature gauge, meat is starting to rise up.
And again, that is able to be—this unit has able to accomplish this because of this extremely thick ceramic housing, if you can see just how quick that temperature gauge goes up.
All right folks, we got our grill preheated, and we are ready to go. What we like to do for is we like to take and cook a steak on it. We are going to go ahead and get this thing open and get us the steak going.
All right folks, let us look and see how we are doing. Oh! Look at that smoke, just take a look here, we are looking good, this big green egg does the whole spectrum from high heat for steaks. But, it is also take and do your lower settings as well. We are going to finish up on our steaks and come back here in just a little bit. We are going to do a hickory smoke pizza, and show you guys just how well and versatile this unit is.
All right guys, what we have been doing on the big green egg is a smoke pizza, and a drunken chicken on our little drunk chicken style. And, what I like to do is we kind of had the chance to see the big green egg cooking on high as far as how was it able to achieve hot temperatures to sear our steaks, but also, it will do the low temperatures.
On our pizza, I would like to see if you guys can please just take a look here. We are able to get a nice melted cheese on top, and check out the bottom of this thing. It is not burned we have got a nice golden brown crust on the bottom, a nice melted cheese top on our pizza.
As far as the chicken goes, I mean you just come dried off the bone. Big green egg as far as charcoal grills, it is one of the best that is out there on the market, and we certainly do appreciate you guys for joining us and checking these things out and see them in action.
