A very popular grill that we sell called the Big Green Egg.
This particular version is the large Big Green Egg. They actually make a few different sizes—they make a medium egg and a smaller egg. But I would say that that this particular size as well as the medium egg are definitely are more popular sellers.
It is a charcoal barbeque grill, but it is a lot more than that, with the way they designed this grill scores the overall construction—what it is made out of, but also how air circulates through it. It allows you to do many different things like smoked, to extremely slow cooking, as well as this grill will actually achieve extremely high temperature, so it actually will do the whole spectrum and for a charcoal grill, it is hard to be a Big Green Egg.
As far the external construction of the barbecue, as you can see, it got a green hardened exterior that covers the ceramic body of this unit. The actual grill housing is all ceramic and ceramic does a tremendous job of holding the heat. That is why they make gas logs out of ceramic as well as other things because ceramic holds the heat so well. This actually helps this unit as far as how it cooks.
This particular Big Green Egg is set up with the shelf unit on it which they called the egg mate. These shelves, they got wooden slats and actually can be positioned either extended or both are down for storage. This particular Egg is also set-up with a rolling bottom to it which is what they called the egg nest.
You could also buy these eggs with wooden islands, they make them especially bore the eggs as well as you can actually get the eggs set up where you can just have them sitting on the ground if you want to.
As far as how you control your air vents on this unit, you got a pretty easy set up. You got an intake, down at the bottom of the unit, it slides open and it slides closed. And you have an adjustment of top of the egg controlling the air to flow going out. It is actually set-up with two different air adjustments, a small one on the very top and then you got a large one, just depending on exactly what you are doing.
Something else that need about the Big Green A is the assisted lid opening mechanism. It opens very easy. Just you can imagine, this thick ceramic top housing—it is not light, however, with the assisted lid opening device, it actually opens and closes very easily.
