Bike or Die 2 is a physics bike simulator for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This game is definitely interesting and will keep your attention by frustrating you into playing each level over and over again until you complete it.
In Bike or Die 2 your objective is to ride through the level you’ve selected in an attempt to collect all of the red flags on your course before finishing at the checkered flag. Your attempts are timed, so the goal is to eventually get the lowest time possible and submit it to the Bike or Die 2 scoreboard, but that may take you quite awhile to compete at that level. The game offers over 2,500 levels for you to play through considering that you can download directly from the community website. Even with all of those levels, you’ll still find it hard to walk away from one you can’t beat.
Controlling the bike is fairly easy. There are two buttons on the left hand side the let you lean forward or backward. On the right hand side there’s a go button and a stop button. Consider that the game is built on some sort of physics engine, pressing the stop button while moving will result in your body and bike continuing to fly through the air or flip forward. If you need to change directions, on the lower left there’s also a button that instantly does that for you. Controlling your biker will take quite a while, so expect to hit objects and die instantly for quite some time.
The developers of this game made it possible to field of view between landscape and portrait modes just by shifting your phone. This isn’t really needed considering how little view distance you end up with if you play the game in portrait mode. They also refer to this game as a physics bike simulator, which is confusing considering the fact that you and your bike both seem to be made of elastic bands and bounce through the level. If you can get over the fact that you’re dealing with alien physics and enjoy games of this type, definitely check out Bike or Die 2.
