Kristin: Hi, my name is Kristin Lehi and I am from Chicago and I am confused about the difference between binge eating and bulimia. Do binge eaters make themselves through what? Jill Kindy: Kristin, that's a very good question, binge eating disorder is characterized by eating large quantities of food in a small amount of time. Bulimia anorexia is characterized by the same thing but those people do make themselves throw up or they over exercise or do something as an effort to get rid of all the calories that they have put in. The person with binge eating disorder, just as the binge, and they don't do what we call the purging behaviors.
