The garden home retreat; this is certainly full of the abundance of the garden, fresh fruit, tasty produce, and a bounty of blooms that greets you at every turn.
I have to say Black Seeded Simpson is one of the most popular of the loose-leaf lettuces and home gardeners for years have enjoyed devouring these tender crisp leaves that are high in vitamins A and B.
I have come this variety for years and I like to make room for my vegetable garden each spring.
Now, one of the advantages of this lettuce is that it is a cool season crop and grows rapidly from sea. So, who would not want to enjoy fresh salads in the garden both spring and fall?
When you so, do it directly in the soil as early as the soil can be made fine and loose. Implant the seeds every two inches covering them firmly with soil. Lettuce needs plenty of moisture and if your rose becomes too thick, you can thin them out and transplant them into containers or other areas of the garden.
