Hey everybody, it's time to make flour burst into flames. Are you ready? Let's do this. Here is what you need, safety goggles, household flour, a large can of coffee, vinyl tubing you can blow through, a cane of Sterno fuel, a fireplace lighter, a hammer, a screwdriver.
Start by emptying a coffee can and peeling off the label. Use your screwdriver to hammer a half inch hole into the bottom side of your can. Cut about a foot or longer in your tube, and put one end in the hole. Put a cup of flour in there, drop in the Sterno fuel, and light that sucker up. Be sure to set your can on a very sturdy nonflammable table, because that sucker is going to get hot. Blow into the tube and it will cause all the flour to shoot on to the Sterno fuel and explode.
Wow, look at that flour atomized.
Also, check me out. I am wearing glasses, those are a great substitute for safety goggles.
For those of you who wonder if my table is rigged. Wonder again.
Another thing, if you try this at home, be sure to keep a fire extinguisher near by, it just might come in handy.
