Hi, today we are going to make a blueberry crumb cake and here are the ingredients that you need. To start with we need two cups of white flour and two teaspoons of baking powder and a half teaspoon of salt. Mix those together and then let’s set it aside and move on for the bigger bowl. We are going to take a fourth a pound of butter, ¾ cup of sugar. So now we cream the butter and sugar together.
After you blended that then you need to add one egg and beat that for one minute. Alternately and the dry mixture and the half a cup of milk, do that just until moistened. Now we need to fill in two cups of blueberries. These are frozen and I thawed and rinsed them. Now we transfer them over into your flour and butter pan lightly greased in flour and then sprinkle on pan and let’s place them evenly.
The next step is to make the crumble crumb or the sugar topping, so you take ½ cup of brown sugar and three tablespoons of flour. Two teaspoons of cinnamon and add a few nuts, chunk of walnuts. That is optional and so then three tablespoons of butter. Now this is supposed to be a crumb toppings so you don’t want to really mix it together because then it won’t be crumbly.
So I like take a fork and just mash all together for crumb consistency. So that is your finished product, so here is your crumb, puffin and then you just sprinkle on top of the batter evenly. Then you bake this at 375o for around 45 to 50 minutes. Okay so 50 minutes later, we take it out. We can test it with a toothpick in the middle and serve it if it comes out clean, so there you go. So now we take it and transfer it in our original dish.
Don’t forget to just loosen it up a little bit around the edges, so it just popped out easily. If you like an easy recipe, you can go to Sarah’sBlueberryRecipes.com where there are many more options for crumby cakes or any type of delicious blueberry dessert.
