Hi, I’m Franklin Taggart. I’m a guitar player and a guitar teacher. I’d like to show you a very simple song today. It's a 12-bar blues in the key of A. We’re going to use three chords, the A7 chord [demonstration], the D7 chord [demonstration] and the E7 chord [demonstration] to make a short song. And this is the Blues in A, the strum pattern that we use is down, down, down, up, down.
So, here's how the song goes. One, two ready go. A [demonstration] down, down, down, up, down. D7 [demonstration], down, down, down, up, down. Back to A7 [demonstration] twice, D7 [demonstration], back to A7 [demonstration], E7 [demonstration], D7 [demonstration], A7 [demonstration], E7 [demonstration].
And that's how you play the 12-bar blues in the key of A. Very simple. What you’re going to be doing is just repeating those chords in that order over and over and over again.
