Blues Guitar Lick #2

Okay, this is Blue Up number two. At the tab for that, you can get that. Check out the link on the next of the video. This is also named minor pentatonic lick [Demonstration]. So that’s how that works. That’s the pentatonic and it just fits right within that. But I’ve also added a blues note [Demonstration] which is a flat five. So instead of going [Demonstration] I go [Demonstration]. So I just got that one edge to the blues note which is actually part of the blue scale [Demonstration].

The tricky part is you’ve got some [Demonstration] and then I do a [Demonstration] a slide, you’ll see that on the tab [Demonstration]. You can add on different notes instead of add on that one and then [Demonstration]. You could go on blues lick number one [Demonstration] and then sort of modification of blues lick number two.

So try playing around with that lick [Demonstration] just take a fragment of it [Demonstration]. So there’s blues lick number one and part of lick number two and I’ve also slowed it down instead of [Demonstration].

So this is how you start to make up your own solos is you basically will start to mix and match and combine these ideas, and you want to modify them to mix them around so just playing one link after the other, but there’s a sort of a logic to how you phrase your solos. So have fun with that.
