Boating tutorial series: The rules of the road

First, when you meet another boat head on, both vessels must alter their course to the right, so each passes the other on the left. Second, when you are crossing the path of another boat, the rules are the same as driving a car in the intersection. The vessel on the right has the right of way and finally, if you are overtaking a vessel and you want to pass it, the rules require that you keep out of its way, or the other vessel maintains its course and speed.
