Stacey Shevlin: Welcome to bot beat, we are in the hunt for the coolest, cutest, and creepiest robots out there let's do this, One of the things I love about robots is they like to have a good time, they may be very focused on the task at hand, but robots and robot makers like to have a few loves as well, this robot is definitely some one I like to kick it with, in this case it's all just part of the experiment this is what's known as modular robot, many smaller robots joint to gather to make one large robot.
Mark Yim: They self write themselves they can sense the direction of gravity, they look around, turn up on your efficiency crawl towards each other put themselves back together again,
Stacey Shevlin: The modules are made of 3 clusters of fact and each have little camera's on them, it allow them to locate the other pieces.
Mark Yim: Do we have the system that can reassemble itself that can be pretty useful lets say you have a car it's in an accident and the pieces when it began to 0:01:06 and then people always talk about that you know fultron or a transformers and made to have stamped one.
Stacey Shevlin: Another fun place that's great for kids of all ages it's a little spark I like to call robot hot, Its actually Lower Merion high school in Pennsylvania, you've got a great robotics department with some of the coolest teachers around, the kids built robot for competition.
Phil Ross: So we have document FRCTM 1712 what we do is we build this larger robots and small for competition all over the world.
Those are partially tested in the corridor.
Stacey Shevlin: The innovation and invention in robot express, is offered as an elective course, and the kids gladly stay after school to built robots for the documenting.
Phil Ross: We call that a trophy its appropriate flaw from last year.
Stacey Shevlin: They also compete battles amongst themselves to home their robot building chops, one of their robotics mentors Mr Kressly guides the students in
a heeded match.

Sam Grass: This is my Robot Fabio, right now its missing one wheel and everything is pretty much made all to this but on the plus side he has a great name his name is
Fabio.
Stacey Shevlin: In the game known as ball batch, competing robots to attempt to get these balls in to the corner goals, the robots they use are build with the vex robotics designs extra, not only do the kids have a blast they also they also learn engineering electronics, programing and cad or computer aid attracting and much more -- the next we are end the match.
Stacey Shevlin: One of the coolest things is how passionate, these kids are about robots they only all to their teachers.
Delia Votsch: I was thinking another day what would my life be like if I don't have to just come to come to after school I mean I want to come to school.
Sylvia Herbert: It's really a most amazing experience that I never had and I'm very great grateful.
Phil Ross: For we the club is, it's really like extensional my family.
Stacey Shevlin: So you are looking for a good time bot to bring home, you are in luck, meet MR. Personality. Mr. Personality is the little robot with a big identity crises, it tells stories, can avoid obstacles, he has a three wheeled army directional base that allows him to move in any direction, and he can predict your future, and even tells jokes, don't play your day job.
That's also isobot, a great robot that is one of my favorite pass times, he is very flexible, if you are doing Pilates or else he adjust exercising, it port movies pick one of the coolest features is, it does the robot, of robot it does the robot how post modern, while these guys are toward robots one of the great things about them is they get kids in to robots, kids have a blast with them and the next thing you know, they are building their own bots.
