Bouncy card with Dawn
Dawns StampingThoughts
Hi stampers! You see I am going to make this little card and it wiggles and bounces. I am going to show you what you are going to need. I am starting with the piece of whisper white and it is cut at 10 ½” x 2 ¾ “and there are lots of score lines. Let us get started on that part.
You are going to score you cardstock at ¾”, 2 5/8”, 3 1/3”, 5 ¼”, 7”, and 8 ¾”. Then, you are going to turn cardstock long ways and you are going to score at half inch on both sides. You are going only to score from the end on the ¾” score line end short one. You are going to score from the end of that cardstock up to the 2 5/8”. That should be a half inch and then do the other side the same way from the end to the 2 5/8” score line. We are going to score half inch. Okay, then you are going to cut those half inches out on both sides.
[Demo]
It should look like that. Then, from the 3 ½” score line down to the two 2 5/8”, you are going to cut it at an angle from that score line to the other score line to the 2 5/8”. So, it should look like that.
Okay, all right. Now, for the layers of my card I put the greeting and this greeting and the snowman are from this stamp set Wishing You Cheer. I stamp that greeting on whisper white and that measurement is on a whisper white is 1 ¼” x 2”, and then the bashful blue is cut at 1 ½” x 2 ¼”, and then I stamped that in black. And then, the tag for my little bouncy card, I stamp the snowman in black and I use these markers to color him in. Only orange, bashful blue, green galore, real red and black. And I use the tag stamp from the punch pals. And then, I used the snowman from that Whishing You Cheer, stamped those in black.
And then, for the background of my card I am using bashful blue with the snowflake from those Snow Burst stamp set that looks like this. And you are just going to randomly stamp the image all over the base of your card.
[Demo]
Okay and then you are going to go ahead and fold all your score lines.
[Demo]
Okay, now we are going to adhere our sticky strip.
[Demo]
I am going to add this sticky strip to the ¾” end and on the front. And then on the other end you are going to flip that over and put it on the back side.
[Demo]
Okay, now let me see her. Okay, now you are going to take this ¾” score line. Let us take there sticky strip backing off. Okay, you are going to take the ¾” score line and you are going to butt that up against the 5 ¼” score line, so it should be like that and adhere that down.
[Demo]
It should look like that. Then take the other end remove this sticky strip. And then, put that on the other end so you can see that way. Okay, now this is going to be the front of my card. Now, I want to have and made this greeting from the front so I want to take the dimensional back this off and put that at the front.
[Demo]
That, okay. Now, for the bouncy part we are going to take the tag punch, the larger one. I am going to punch our little snowman tag.
[Demo]
Okay, and then, we are going to take a piece of tape. I have a piece of wire works here. Now, this is 26 gauge wire and Stampin’Up used to sell it, but it is retired now, but this is what it is look like. Punch while works in there. This is 26 gauge, you are going to adhere this to the back of one of your tags. I am just going to use a piece of tape.
[Demo]
And then, I am going to use some snail adhesive. Put some on that and then put some on the other side of the tag. Then, I am just going to line them up.
[Demo]
Since you are using the punch tag this is going to line up perfectly. And then, push them together. Okay, now from my wire I want to take a paint brush. I am just going to wrap that around the paint brush leaving our little tiny end that is straight because you are going to adhere this to the card. So, it should look like that. Let me get a piece of tape here. Okay, then I am going to adhere this to the inside of my card. You are going to see a little pouch or a little gap here that where you are going to put your little bouncy thing at. This is going to be the front my cards. I am going to adhere this on the inside. You just push that down and adhere it in there.
That it is. Is not that cute? I love it! You can also fold this card shut. It might take a little bending as far making that inside lay flat, but you can do it. Just go ahead and push that down and it will lay flat to put in to an envelop. Oh, I love it so much, it is so cute.
All right, thanks for stopping by. We will see you later. Bye!
