Kendra: I have been considering getting breast implants. I was wondering if getting them increases my risk of breast cancer. Paul Tartter: Well, that's a very good question Kendra. We used to think that they did increase your risk of getting breast cancer. But recent studies are pretty convincingly shown that they don't increase your risk, and in fact, it may make breast cancers easier to feel, particularly, if the implants are put behind the breast tissue or behind the muscle.
