Breastfeeding and Solid Foods

Most of the time, women will continue nursing and start supplementing formula or solid at some point in time in the second-half of the first year life. Now, if the mother is nursing terrifically well, the baby is gaining well, we don't push any solid foods or anything to the baby until a year. Sometime around a year, we like them to start finger feeding otherwise, they get confused when you really want them to eat. Now, it's true, we have some babies who are really nursing for a year and gaining beautifully with nothing else. With some babies, the mothers don't seem to have enough milk or you they seem to be demanding more food, so then they gradually introduce solid foods and then what will happen is the baby will probably be nurseless.
