Female: It is probably not what you are thinking about when you are having sex but your breathing can have a huge impact on what you get out of the experience. Coach Kendra will show us how to do it right.
Coach Kendra: When you are having sex, it is natural to focus on that person you are with and the sensation to what you are experiencing. What you may not realize is that while your attention is only as pleasurable pursuits, your breathing is what sets the tempo for the experience. And when you are in the bedroom, good rhythm is an awful lot better than bad rhythm. Think about your breath like the drummer in your own personal band. The drums’ percussive beat is not always the sound on the forefront but it is sets the pace and ties the beat together by giving it a cadence. Breath works the same way during a sex.
There are some simple exercises you can do to enhance your breathing and improve your sex life. When you are doing these exercises, think about this. It is not just that better breathing means a better sexual rhythm. Improved breathing also means better blood flow, which can give you a stronger erection or enhanced sensation in your clitoris, both of which are rather desirable during sex. Now that I have got your attention, I am going to show you some breathing exercises you can do on your own.
Deep abdominal breathing is the key to breathing for better sex. Sitting in a comfortable upright position, place one hand on your sternum and one hand on your lower abdomen, begin to breathe into your hands increasing the depth of your breath. Fill up your chest completely every time you inhale. Now focusing more on your exhale, try to suck your navels strongly into your spine on each exhalation.
Lying on your back, make your exhales longer and retain your breath at the bottom of your exhale. Hold there as long as you can without gripping your breath, then gently inhale through your nose. Inhale for two to four seconds and exhale for three to five seconds, repeating the retention at the bottom of each exhale. With this exercise, you will increase your lung capacity, which can increase your stamina and your sexual power.
There are also breathing exercises that you can do with your partner. Although these exercises provide the same benefits as the other exercises, they also can be intimate and intensify the impact of using breaths to enhance your sex life.
Sitting in front of your partner with your knees touching, start breathing together as you go deeper. You will also create an amazing connection with your partner, which can translate into fireworks in bed. It is okay if you are not convinced yet. Lots of people are skeptical at first, but here is the thing. All of the skeptics are people who have not tried it. Give it a real effort for a couple of weeks and then we will see if you are still a skeptic. See you later.
