Hey, everybody last of the lessons for tonight, this is on the song by Little Big Town called “Bring It on Home” that was a really cool cover that someone posted it in the requested song forum. I got in YouTube, performed it and I got some people including my man Travis Marking that is why I’m wearing this so, I got to take the guys and their hope that keeps us running.
So all right, standard tuning capes on the first fret, okay song by Little Big Town and I don’t really know if this is how they play it I just know the house is gone big on YouTube places. So the capes on the first fret, the main chords you’re going to use G chords, all right, C chord, a D chord, okay now you’re probably going to be confused to the first because thinking what is he talking about this is not a D chord this is the D chord. All right there is another way you can play a D chord, all right.
So you make your C chord and I have listed on the tab so the tab it’s in the left of the info box and freeandeasyguitar.com you’re going to realized that this is C chord. If you slide everything up two frets. It’s a D chord, so in the video, he’ll play sort of G chord. Look at the hammering. And you wined up with the. That’s really used to be G, C to the D you’re sliding at two frets. So when you ever refer to all called slob of D just for the video just remember on the top of the D that you slide up two frets to get through from your C. C, that’s you’re D, all right.
Other chord you got to need to see at C9, basically the four fingers is G and this two down is down string. FM7 it’s just like a C chord, okay, so make a C chord but for FM7 move this two fingers each down the string. Okay, you’re going to keep them on the same frets but instead of this being on the four strings it’s going to be on the three strings. And this is going to be from the five to the four. That’s your FM7, Em7 and A minor 7.
Okay, check out the chords whether the chords are set up or in the info box, you’ll see numbers if you see a G, says 320033 that’s just means the first string start with six from left to right, you read it that’s a three so it’s on the third fret the next thing string down is your A because left to right. to you’re next string.
Second fret you see a two so it means the string has something on the second, this two are open because they have zeros and this two. F3 because it’s on the far right of the six numbers are two, three’s. See you can figure this chord out or you can just Google the picture of them.
So I’m going to go ahead and try and walk you through how he put this guys place it on You Tube. The Intro is just a G, something like that, okay. Basically it’s a G, to the D, to the C9.
G, D, to the C9. Now you G, to this D, or you can do something like G, switch to this C, strum it once and its slide up and in you’re in there that’s a D too that’s a slide up D, okay. The only reason were playing a G and then starting on the C and sliding up, we see if we get that kind of cool effect, apparently people wanted to learn.
So, all right, so your intro is G, to the C, I’m sorry to the D back to C9. Okay, you can add this little cool note, buy just hammering on your D string on the second fret during the strums so and that you can do same thing with your G or any other chord. Take what’s finger you want to try with and try pick the sound up better. All right, so the verse you got “Somebody wants to make it all right”, “Someone loves you more than life right here”, okay.
So you got “Somebody wants to make it all right”, the whole first line is a C9, “Somebody wants to make it all right” “Somebody loves you more than life right here” so you finish on that G right here and then you finish at C9. But the main thing you want to know is that you are strumming C9 the whole first line at G at the several generic strong patter. Down-up-down-up-down-down-up-up-down-up-down for the first line, starting second line, down-up-down-up-down-down-up-up-down G, then switch to the C, play it once slide it up two frets everything to that D and going down-up-down-up-down back to your C9.
Down-up-down-up-down-down-up-up-down something like that you can figure it in a strong patterns but that’s how they makes that. Is just slide everything up from the C two frets to do D, all right that’s how you play the verse the chorus is a D, “And heart you know tangle in the sides” is the C “Don’t you keep it to yourself” is A minor 7, it’s a just an A minor minus just the ring finger.
Okay, “When your long day” G to the D “It’s over”, okay if you notice in the tab there’s two stars next to the D because you go like this. It’s that D up here, okay, so anytime you see a D with two that’s what means, it means you’re going. Like that basically, okay, the only other thing I guess you’re wanting to see is I play through the chorus just say you can kind of fall through were not going to sing it’s too high. “So take you’re worries and just drop the door”, “Behind, when you’re alone and you can barely back at your feet. No matter what is on you’re shoulders, brining on home to me”.
That’s ark thing is G, that D is two stars is to C, G, okay. Chorus three F major 7 “Baby with me harder”, all that is, is this little thing set were just going to have two string first fret, three string on the second fret, fourth string in third fret. That’s well actually what you play for the FM7.
What else we got “Baby let me save your for it” okay, same thing I’m just going to strum through the chords because I’m not going to sing it it’s way too high. So just follow through the chords you can look to the tab when you hear it change, you know, I’m on the next chords. So let’s just out at FM7 and that continues the rest of the way. We the intro is basically the same “Bringing It on Home”.
Just like that so you guys can tend to work around with the strong chords. That’s something you do with the C, just thinking to focus, so probably not the most in depth lesson but I just wanted to show you some of the things I got with going in this video. And sometimes too you hear a little picking I think he made an E minor 7 any of those picking patterns you want to do like for a short, short solo or anything. Just make a chord and then just pick certain strings you getting picking or I mean as long as you’re picking while you’re still holding that chords it’s going to sound good. So just pick any pattern you want and be creative and make it own.
So remember over 200 lessons and more over more 200 lessons at for freeandeasyguitar.com and hope you guys were on the guitar. So take care and happy week.
