Threesomes have been common since the 60's I had my first in Europe in 1968 and had maybe a dozen or more over the succeeding year while travelling. Of course we were all young and open to everything then, and did it. I've had dozens since including a long term triad relationship which was broken up by my wife getting pregnant and an odd jealousy on the part of the other partner. I haven't had any since. The latest big thing is years old and is girls publicly being into girls. Threesomes are not even in the running. I was questioned in the middle of a party about why I had been walking down the street snogging both women by a person who knew only me and my wife. I said, "Oh, that's Eve, our other woman." I never heard another word, nor was there any whispering backbiting or ostracization. Check out the David Crosby song Triad which is so old it occurs on a Jefferson Airplane album.

That’s a little bit different, but assuming you’re a couple and you want to bring a third person in, great idea assuming, you both want it and you know— Dan: That’s the big one. Jennifer: Yes, you both want it and you got to have some ground rules okay. Understand, what’s okay and what’s not okay, you know. What can you do? What can the third person do, you got to talk about this stuff before hand. Dan: Yes, absolutely. You don’t want your wife or girlfriend being—feeling unwanted or undesired because you got your eyes on the other girl. And that’s obviously going to be a big concern for her, so you got to make sure that that’s okay. Jennifer: Yes. Dan: And taken cared of. Jennifer: Oh! And make sure that the third person understands those ground rules as well. Dan: Yes, absolutely. Jennifer: Okay, so here’s the question, “Are threesomes the new in?” Would you try a three some?
