Brookstone Heart Rate Monitor Ring Review

I'm Amy Mac and then today’s Fit Life we’re dong a review of brook stone heart rate monitor ring.

So the first thing that I did like about it was the price went it $40.00. If it does everything that it suppose to $40.00 is not that big of investments so it will be well worth it. The second thing I like obviously was the size compared to the bulky chest strap and watch that I was usually use to monitor my heart rate this ring is tiny which is awesome. And it also has a size of ring so if you have tiny fingers you slip that on that makes it fit almost any hand.

That being said here what I don’t like about it. You can either have your workout timer going or your heart rate monitor you can't have both running at the same time and I just found out really odd. It also doesn’t have the calorie count feature which is didn’t realize I like so much until I didn’t have an option on this. I was like you see that big number at the end of the workout even if it's not always accurate it just makes you feel good that you really put in the good workout.

And this hasn’t have a light so I don’t know about you but if you ever jugging after work or finishing your walk in the dark you want to look down and see what time it is, see how long you're been working out there's no light so you can do that. So last year when I was marathon training I always wear the watch with the chest strap heart rate monitor and I can consistently throughout the 12 months I had a pulse rate of about 172 when jogging. So I put the exact same set up on and tried the ring. I was jogging and getting the reading of 170 off to the watch in the chest strap and this was giving me a reading anywhere from 98 to 140. So I didn’t even see that it was close to accurate.
