Andy with you for another song lesson and today we are taking look at some Bruno Mars. And I
have a chart for you, Just The Way You Are. A sweet-sweet metal ballad, we got a capo on the
third fret. Grab a capo stick it on the third fret, pretty good move. Okay and what we’ll going to
do is help you out with the chords and give you some strumming patterns for get you going.
Pretty simple songs into the same four chords over and over. So an easy one to knock over, I’m
going to give you some good all ten riffs and if you have trouble with your chords.
So you heard me start playing there along with some drum tracks, you can get those free.
Download them, good for getting your playing rock-rock solid. Link underneath, give me drums.
10 free drum tracks to play along with so check those out. And here’s what we got for the
chords.
We have got a D chord, we’ll going to zoom in so you can have a look there. There’s our D, 1-2-
3. Lovely, Bm, G and finally we’re back to D.
Great okay, so what is that strumming pattern is a nice straight ahead one it is, down-down-up-
up-down.

From there we’re moving on to Bm.

G.

Back to D.

That’s it. Two times for each of that chords. If you have trouble with your Bm chord, I’m going
to give you a few little alterations that you can do there. There’s an easy version which is a twist
of a Bm7 chord, all we have to do is take the D and move you first and second finger up two
strings and do you know this, the chording of this, that on the top which you do get in your full
Bm. So you got sort of two options, you can do this super easy Bm7 or you move those two up
or you can also twist a little further and move your third finger down to the second fret on the
skinny A and put your fourth finger on the B string, third fret. Little close, close to the original. I
should prefer that over the straight Bm, quite that in progression.
[Music Playing]
Little sweeter.
[Music Playing]
Great, if you want to get a little busier with the strumming rhythms, here’s one way that you can
do it.
