Brussels Sprouts with Hot Orange Sauce

Speaker: Brussels Sprouts with hot orange sauce is a sweet cream that makes for a gorgeous presentation on the side of any holiday plate. Start by cleaning 10-12 brussels sprouts by trimming the ends and taking off the outer leaves. Cut the sprouts in half and then boil or steam them for about 5 minutes until they soften. Drain and reserve. Now melt one tablespoon of butter in a skillet and add the blanched brussel sprouts. A 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger and season with salt and pepper. Now add the juice from one orange juice and 1/2 a teaspoon of cornstarch. Cook through for about 3 minutes. Stir frequently until the sauce thickens.
