Thanks for stopping by, I’m Chef Billy Parisi and you’re watching FixMyRecipe.com. Our new fix goes to Jasper Mirabile of Kansan, Missouri’s own Talk Radio 710. He submitted a recipe for us for Brutti Buoni Cookies, he said he tried making them three times and kept coming up short. Don’t worry, I got a new that’s going to get you right back on track.
Brutti Buoni actually translates to “Ugly but Good” so let’s go ahead and get started. Since this recipe moves so fast, we’re going to start by greasing and flouring up our sheet pan. Jasper let’s go ahead and set our pan to the side and in our kitchen aide we’re going to go ahead and whip our egg whites to medium peaks. Once our peaks are right at medium, we’re going to gradually add in the sugar until it’s completely mixed. All right Jasper now we’re going to add in the rest of our ingredients. Here’s what you need, Amaretto, a little Frangelico for some hazelnut flavors, some flour, bittersweet chocolate, cinnamon and vanilla. Go ahead and mix all these ingredients until they’re completely combined. Next, take that bowl off the kitchen aide mixer and we’re simply going to fold in this chopped almonds and slivered almonds. Alright once our nuts are folded in, we’re going to go ahead and spoon like two-inch little blobs right on our greased up sheet pan, we’re going in the oven 325 degrees for about 30 minutes.
Oh yes these look and smell awesome. We’re going to go ahead and let these completely cool, come back and try some out.
Jasper, “Ugly but Good” is right. You saw how easy these came together, stick to this recipe; I think you’re going to be more than happy. Wow these were so tasty, they probably go excellent with the coffee or cappuccino. Thanks again for writing and come back tomorrow, see our new feature fix of the day.
