Debbie Khan: Good morning this is Debbie Khan in The Business Mom Mentor and I am here this morning to share with you a couple of my smart cut tips for getting dinner on the table in a hurry, because there is nothing a business mom needs more than to feed her family fast.
One of the things that I love to do is bring home my bulk ground meat this happens to be ground turkey and I have already cooked it with some minced onion, chopped onion and I put it in individual bags they are dated. I popped it on the freezer and so when I need to make chili or stew or tacos or casseroles all those kinds of things my meats already prepared. I only wash the skillet once when I am browning the meat and I do a big-O pack all at one time.
So I just popped in the microwave for it to defrost right and quick and I am also going to use some pre-packaged spices. I just put pieces of foil out on my counter and when I’m measuring out one package of my seasoning mix for my chili I just manufacture in a conveyor belt sort of a fashion extra pockets and keep them in the Ziploc bag in my pantry. So when I get ready to make chili like today it is really super fast.
So all I need to do is to take my semi-done meat, already cook, popped that in the pan, popped in my pre-measured spice pocket. They are practically no expense involved in this, a lot cheaper than buying the package mixes from the store. So just take whatever spices you like. I got a can of chili beans they have got a little bit of a sauce already in him. A can of tomato sauce, can of dice tomatoes, popped it all in the pan. Turn it on let it simmer while I do my work in the office this morning.
Until next time, this is Debbie Khan in smart cut tips to make your time, space and energy more effective.
