My name is Rachele Hayman, Buying Director for BHS. And we currently got out in our stores across the country in 86 stores with the wedding collection.
We’ve got another bride’s maid collection and within that we’ve got at various in short lengths to long lengths intended to styling and shapes and within that also we’ve got mix and match. And these bodices with long skirts, basil skirts and short skirts and type of these skirts to its setting price base being to about 100 pounds. Each of these is made from Dr. Satin. They’ve got four different color stories and one is in merle, one is in pink, champagne and gold. And each of those carries the same fabric braces across each of the ranges. And we go from a size six to a size 22 and so we cater for various shapes and sizes and really look to fit real women.
This is one of our champagne dresses which is made in a shimmering fabric and this is having with the sequence embroidered on. And it’s probably first setting your confidence bride’s maid could even be worn for a bride and the dress also got a corsetry at the back so you get that perfect shape not lovely off the shoulder look and feel. At stores lay out our products so that they can very much walk in, the bride walk in and then decide what kind she’s looking for. She can go out to the nearer area and can get a real picture, a real vision of how she wants that wedding to look so that we try and make easy for her to see the picture of the wedding and because those brides quite sure what they would like, say within the collection we also do the matching wraps the shoes, the handbags, the accessories and all the various bits involved and sort of accessorize the bride’s maid.
This is a Dr. Satin short dress with the chiffon and piece of the tab and tightens through the back. Being really popular with the shape the short look and feel and we find in that brides are made into the shape than for holiday weddings and those are very similar hot weddings. And in most the color’s great for the bride’s maids. And within this collection we also have a really unique little dress and this is our next embroidered dress for the child. This is such a detachable. It can be changed and it’s change with different colors. If it’s the merle or the pink, the champagne, beautiful detailing at the back and with the cover buttons and the beautiful bow. It’s really an elegant, little piece and very classic for the big day.
Within the stores, you’ll find for the bride when she goes in to find her dress. The next step is over see for the wedding party and we do everything from child bride’s maid to adult bride’s maid and right to their parents and then the groom. And when she walks in what we try to create is the experience of really giving her an idea of what the color scheme could look like just how that wedding could look based on the sets of it in the left that we have in stores, so she can go along to the pink area and see all the various product types and set within that the matrix and know what to create her own wedding.
The wedding collection is currently in 80 stores and all the collection is off the street. We also have a huge business on the website whereby we obviously enticing other customers to come along. You wouldn’t know maybe a BHS customer and to come and have a look at what we can offer for the perfect wedding.
We ought to see believe strongly that we do a great offer of products and we do think that we’re pulling in costumers that would normally come to BHS because hopefully they’re saying good value for money. It’s really classic, clean product and that they can decorate themselves as well. It’s not necessary always embellish highly which gives an already good base and a really good start to embellish the product after they say cheese.
Also in the stores we also have a great business up in the north, up in the whole and into Scotland to Wales and island and we have quite a good business right across the country.
In the Ivy collection we’ve also got something slightly more grown up shape with a little bit more glitzy so if you want to have that kind of sequence look and pair with the much fuller skirt and that’s a great look for various age group actually for the little girl to wear. And then for slightly older look, we then got the look alike of the bride’s dress as a shade here in Dr. Satin with the bow and then again with the diamond tees decorating the top part of the dress that comes in the couple of colors.
Each year we bring out a new collection in January and we take that look and feel free to join and what we also generate is a catalogue which we put onto all the bridal magazines. And it’s also laid out by colors so it gives you the look and feel that we are trying to establish in the store. And once you get the catalogue the bride can then at home have a look and see what the collections look and like and can give her the ideas to see just how the wedding could be in the eventual events.
So the catalogues quite a good tool for the bride to sit at home, talk to her bridesmaids, talk to her mom, and think about what the wedding could look like and we spend a lot of time on that. So we can give the look and feel and that’s how to create the perfect wedding.
