Alicia: My name is Alicia Wselaki and I am a photographer from San Diego and I am here revisiting one of my favorite places in California. We are in Imperial Valley in Southern Califronia and this is the Salton Sea.
The visuals on the eastern edge of this desert lake are stunning. On a calm day at Bombay Beach, the sea and the sky virtually melt into one another, reminds me Hiroshi Sugimoto’s seascapes. It is absolutely beautiful.

Leonard: My name is Leonard Knight. This place is in Southern California by the Salton Sea. I was going to stay one week and then six weeks and then I got involved. In 22 years later, it turned into this.

Wayne: Free living for the whole lot of folks. Where my campsite, it is area 4, area 5 or the corner up there, area 7 is good for fishing. Drop 16’s Naval Seal base-Slab City-16 miles.
Odes: I love it. You can stop and look and watch the shadows change and the desert just come into focus. That is big transformation. It always has been and always do.
Alicia: The Salton Sea is an incredible corner of California. I really hope you can do yourself a favor and come visit sometime. It is amazing.
