Here is a tip when you have one of these calculators, notice the back right over here there is a place you can actually put your name. Well, get yourself a dry erase marker and write in your email address. Then, you can actually find one of these tings on the office supply store.
And, what you do is just engrave over the email address, that way if your calculators are lost or stolen, someone can get a hold of you, if you do not want to put your email address, put your name, I do not recommend phone numbers. But again, it is up to you.
So, that is something that I would recommend you do with your calculator. Now another thing you can do with this calculator is once you have these entire great program, applications, maybe you want to share them with someone in class, or a friend, neighbor.
How do we do that? Well, there are several options; one is to get you cable. I have here a couple different types. Another thing you can do is, you can actually upload and download programs, games, applications, using the cable like something like this. This actually comes with the calculator.
You can actually put this patch through your computer so you will have connection. And, you can get to upload and download files. This is kind of neat. If you have an 83-83 this is similar to the type of cable you are going to need, right here.
They are rather inexpensive; they are like $14.00 or $15.00. If you have an older computer, you probably need a serial cable and those are a little bit more expensive. Another very valuable tip is your calculator comes with its own little CD here.
Take advantage of it. There is actually in here to get other applications if something happens to your calculator, you can actually put the software back in the calculator and most importantly, guide books.
Take the time to read the guide books. There is part one and part two. Part one is just a basic introduction that tells you all the different ways you can type different key strokes in your calculator.
Part two of the guide book that is on the CD is a very detailed guide. It tells you exactly what each and every one of these keys will do and all the different options in the different menus. So, if you are puzzled, you can just look it up on the CD and it will tell you.
Finally, on my website, I have a little movie that shows how to really use your T84 Graph calculator. It is not an all composing movie; it is just a basic guide on how to use the miscellaneous keys and how I will say the keys in my videos. So, it is a good way to get started on using your calculator.
