Welcome to this edition of Body Performance, I am Steve Turano. Remember this, when we are talking about gaining weight, everything that you put in your mouth, if it has got that raised, we will add a weight. We also said that most people do not agree, why? Because weight gain does not have it rapidly, it happens slowly, in perceptibly.
Two or three pounds a year then, after 20 years, you are 20 pounds overweight. So, it is slow as 20, 30 and 40 calories a day that add up. Now, that being said let us take a look at what you are drinking throughout the day. Most people drink around bottles of water. Great, no problem, drink all you want, no calories.
A lot of people taking a lot of extra calories in the forms cola’s, sweetened tea, juices and coffee’s. Now, I am not picking on anybody, because there is nothing wrong with the coke. 140 calories in the coke, now, the issue, have five of them and that is a lot of calories. Now, for all the glass of orange juice, have six of those, it adds up. There are actually no calories in coffee, but yes, sugar, cream, wheat cream, caramel and chocolate and now, you have desert.
So, my point is, if you are taking a lot of calories in the form of liquids throughout the day, take a look at it, and cut that. If you cut that from what you drink throughout the day, you are definitely not going to cut that on what you eat, and at much better, cut that on my calories from drinking than my calories from eating. I will see you next time. Love your body.
