Male: Andrew welcome to the show. Andrew Stefanczyk: Thank you. Male: First of all, tell me about these beauties behind us. Andrew Stefanczyk: Okay they are absolutely gorgeous aren’t they? They are three vans that did not star of life I should say a four vans. They start of their life is rust and when we found them there was more holes and they were so metal. Male: Really. Andrew Stefanczyk: It differ what to believe but they were bus types and we have to do some magic to get into the condition that they are now. Male: So this is Poppy. Andrew Stefanczyk: This is Poppy. Male: With her roof top? Andrew Stefanczyk: We thought we foot the roof top so you can see all the Poppy enough just some of funky. Male: Excellent that’s what I like. It’s perfect. I’ll tell you the attention to this how is fantastic and I see you kept the original detail. Andrew Stefanczyk: Yes. Yeah we try to keep it as original as possible. We could try to make it presentable inside but we try to keep the originality because what people. They drive in the 1971 camper and they want to feel that they’re driving a 1971 classic camper. Male: So you have this camper van, a rug? You transform to it and then how did the business come about? Andrew Stefanczyk: Well we met a top downing center who did the restoration for us and he just said were having like an argument and he said that “I’ll tell you what is that what you want this all?” Possible we have one, it’s a little bit over the top. So we said “okay, all right” so we ordered another and then another one so we got three and I said what we got more on the white and that’s where it started from. Male: And I hear, they’re very popular for honeymoons? Andrew Stefanczyk: They are indeed with constantly getting inquiries from a couple who would like to do some a little bit different. You know hotels, everybody is done like they’ve been there but campus is just something different. It’s an adventure. Its not just sitting in a hotel room, it’s a really adventure. Male: So tell us about one of your couple’s adventures. Andrew Stefanczyk: Well we have a couple Ben and Molly. Ben contacted us about six months before he wants the van, but he wanted for his honeymoon and he was saving enough time so he send a deposit and he was so excited. I remember the first phone call, it was bubbling. He was so excited says “I want to hire the van, I want a van he said” and so I put deposit on it for and I said “how long do you want it for” and he said “I want three weeks he said, we want to go on the continent he said and we really want take our time.” And every couple phones me and said “can we have this, can we do?” and I say “yeah well that’s fine and it was a surprised for Molly his wife to be at this time. Male: You know it’s very compact, where do you sleep? Andrew Stefanczyk: Well its two places, you have the seat is what they call the rock and roll bed. So that falls down into a small double bed. Male: I bet it is rock and roll when a honeymoon couples. Andrew Stefanczyk: And just in case they have folding out, we’ve got some bank beds upstairs and they can sleep up there as well. Male: Oh fantastic. So its really you know it could fit for a people and really if they want it to. Andrew Stefanczyk: Maybe not more than four. Male: So we’ve got the fridge down here. What else have we got inside? Andrew Stefanczyk: What we have a little surprise, because if we live this up here, we have a tool, a gas hook. Male: It’s so cute. Andrew Stefanczyk: My wife is responsible for all the accessories. Male: I like your wise details. I’ve got to say. Andrew Stefanczyk: She has an art for detail. Everything matches as you could see it that pink towels. If you look in here you got your nice and forks and yes we have. Male: They are all poppy color. So let’s take a look at this rock and roll bed van. How is it all come about? Andrew Stefanczyk: Let me show, it’s very, very simple. You just lift and you put it down and give it a good push anyway you have it. Male: Can I lie it alone it? Andrew Stefanczyk: Of course you can. Male: It’s very intimate for two I have to say. Andrew Stefanczyk: Oh yes. Male: This is going great. Andrew Stefanczyk: Ideal for honeymoon. Male: But it is like something that are coming out here. And I’ll tell you about this, it’s very comfortable. So do you have hundreds instead of just surf types coming here to look at the vans to rents? Andrew Stefanczyk: Well funny enough. We took we were going to, we thought we have people log in soft board, skate boards and the rest of it but you know well now we have some like that. In the mind, it’s been professional. We have doctors, we’ve had advertising executives. We’ve got lawyers, incredible is taking for surprise. Male: So not exactly how you imagine it today? Andrew Stefanczyk: Not at all and they come back and have the best time. I’ve read. You can tell. When they come back they’ve so enjoyed. There’s a big smile in their face and absolutely they love it. Male: Andrew thank you so much showing us around today. It’s such a fantastic idea for holidays and honeymoons.
