Interesting videos. Definition of a calorie.: quantity of heat required to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1°C from a standard initial temperature. For years I also thought that drinking cold water would cost my body calories to bring the water up to body temperature. I'm from Canada so I'm familiar with metric and British system. BTW, 28 grams of water is 1 ounce and drinking 10 ounce of water equals 280 grams and if drinking it cold it would be cost me many calories to heat up. What took me a long time to realise is that food and beverages are calculated in kilocalories (1000 calories)but foods are labeled and discussed as calories. The the root of many peoples misconception that cold water will burn calories is that they are interchanging kilocalories and calories when the difference is a factor of a 1000. TY you for sharing the videos, I thought I'd like to also share. Regards, Pe ter
