July 13th 01:20 in the afternoon, I am checking in today from Port Perry, Ontario, just about an hour Northeast of the City of Toronto. It's a beautiful town that has a lot of Victorian heritage and even the Sobey's Grocery Store is housed in a building that has a Victorian flavor to it. Across the road here actually, it's kind of hidden, but it's a place that has been recommended to me by a few people and it's called I think Jester's Court, and it's a pub, a pub/restaurant. Let me see if I can get a better view of it.
Obviously, popular also with motorcycle riders, looking down East on Queen Street, that's the main street of Port Perry, and this restaurant has a nice outdoor patio as you can see. Let me see if I can grab a good view of it. So this is the Jester's Court, housed in sort of Edwardian Era and here is eating and drinking establishment, okay, beautiful!
I am continuing my walk with now on Queen Street in Port Perry, and you can see it's very beautiful; a lot of the buildings are of the Victorian Era or maybe from the 1880s until the 1920s. On the other part of the street, we have a local church, and excuse me for filming into the Sun, but it's a very, very bright day today. This is the Port Perry United Church and here, across the way now, we have the Port Perry Town Hall, which was established in 1873, and I think there is a theater in there that's called Cadenza Productions presents The Music Man. There is some theater going on there.
This is actually the corner of Queen and Simcoe street, and I just wanted to give you a little look, North on Simcoe Street here, showing you some of the interesting architecture around here. Port Perry is definitely a beautiful little place and now we'll be taking some still shots.
