July 15th 2:20 in the afternoon. I am just checking-in here from Southern Ontario, from an area basically just North East of Toronto. Right now I am approaching the town of Uxbridge, which is a country town that I have actually been becoming a bedroom community for Toronto, because it's less than an hour from the Northern or Eastern part of the city, and I've already past the sign of the town, so we are at town now. Its 50 kilometers is the speed limit here.
Here's a golf course apparently, see a golf course, golf cart over there. Nice, residential homes on this side, hidden away inside the forest here. I personally don't really know Uxbridge that well. I know they have a very well-known farmers market here. I think that's supposed to be going on Sundays if I am not totally mistaken from about I think 10 in the morning until 4. Here is a new subdivision that's just being built.
What is this? A senior's home I would imagine, that's what it looked like. So, I am just heading into town right now. Actually, I don't know where the downtown of Uxbridge is, but I am sure this route will take me there. Oh, I see a church coming up here. So I just switch my hands here, a gear down.
So yeah, Uxbridge is one of those country towns that surrounding Toronto that's becoming very popular with people that are commuting into the city at least into the Eastern part and Northern part of the city. It's not that far away and it certainly offers a much different sort of country lifestyle.
Let me see where the downtown is actually and lots of cars are coming from this side here, main street, so oh, that's a lovely little pond over there. I am going to go up on main street now, and see if the downtown is up in this area. I am going to give you a report here from Uxbridge. As you can see, it's a gorgeous, gorgeous day. We have a lot of thunderstorms. There is definitely a lot of unsettled air going on right now in Canada and Southern Ontario certainly.
We've had lots of hail, a fog yesterday, which was kind of bizarre. So this looks like Uxbridge right now, Brook Street, I think the downtown is in this area. So what I'll be doing, is I am going to be swinging around and I am going to be checking out the downtown of Uxbridge in just a second.
