Veronica: This winter, Canis Wear wants to make sure your dog is as well dress as you are.
Hi, I’m Veronica for watchmojo.com and today we’re looking at the hottest trends for our four legged friends. In your line of clothing Canis Wear for dogs, you design clothes for dogs of all sizes, is there anything specific to this season?
Patricia Marcotte: This season I tried to put more fun in our cold winter so I added some hibiscus prints on the stomach panels, cute little touches of summer.
Veronica: Besides looking adorable, what is the purpose of the having your dog wear these clothes?
Patricia Marcotte: To keep them clean. Some of the terrier breeds; the type of fur makes so snowballs in their fur and it’s really uncomfortable for the dog. At one point they don’t want to walk anymore so this avoids all these problems.
Veronica: Are there any other breeds that really should be wearing these clothes?
Patricia Marcotte: All the breeds that has a short fur or no fur but you’ll see, you know, the dogs are cold and you’ll want to buy a coat for them.
Veronica: Not all dogs will be used to wearing these dogs, do you have any tricks to get them accustomed?
Patricia Marcotte: Some dogs don’t like to have something to pass on their head so there is belt for closure, coats, different type of coats.
Veronica: Canis Wear uses spandex on the material so the clothing will feel comfortable on your dog and it will fit well and stay in place during those long cold winter walks.
Patricia Marcotte: As a fashion designer I was always finding inspiration in my life. With the type of society I live in and you know type of shows on TV and all that.
Veronica: And what is your favorite item form this collection?
Patricia Marcotte: I really like the little toque. There is a winter toque to let go the ears and it’s really cute, it gives a snow border look.
