By default, your camera is set to Automatic. To change that to Manual, just go ahead and press the Function button or here in the center.
And the first thing is the mode option. By default as I said, Automatic is chosen for you. The reason I don’t like Automatic and mode Manual is because you don’t have control over White Balance and ISO. And these are two things that are very, very important if you want higher quality images or at least better color in your images and certainly more control over the light.
So, move over, press the right navigation button to get to manual. And this will allow you to change your White Balance to whatever best suits your needs and it also allows you to change the ISO.
Now, you can still have either one set to automatic. So for example, I can go down to White Balance and set that to Automatic and I can press the Function button to escape and go up to ISO and change this to Automatic as well.
Now, in this case nothing really changed. Even though I’m in the Manual mode and I do have access to those features, everything is automatic and the camera really is completely as it would be in the Automatic mode, even my flash is set to Automatic. But I do have control and I can change those features and that’s why I do like using the Manual mode.
