Okay, so I am just going to teach you a magic trick here. It is a new, kind of levitation/floating card trick.
So basically, you just need a thread which you will have to make invisible, which I will not do, but this represents invisible thread. Basically, what you have to do is you have to make a loop. And then take the end of the loop right here. The end of the loop which has two strings. You have to tape that part together. Take some tape.
If you are using—this way, I am using white just so it is visible, the thread—but usually, you are supposed to—like if you are using black thread and a black shirt, use black tape or electrical tape. So just tape it, like that, and then just place that right on your elbow, even right up over here will be good, not on your elbow, just like that, and then the end of the string. Basically, it looks like that. Wrap it around your three fingers—but this is invisible. Remember, it is supposed to be invisible.
One second guys, this is too long. I will shorten it.
So, always remember this part. This represents invisible thread. Basically, you just have to wrap it around your three fingers, any three fingers, just like that. Now, what you are going to do is you are just going to let that drop for the beginning of the trick. Just let it drop to your side. Remember, that will be black invisible.
Ask the spectators to pick a card, say they pick this one. The card is a two of clubs. Set that down. Now, tell them to focus on it and watch, and while they do that, just wrap this string around, ask someone to give it to you, put it on your hand, you scribe it and you just stretch out your fingers, and it levitates right there on your hand. The coolest part you can do is to take another card and just stick it right underneath just to show there are no strings underneath, no strings on the top. You can even let people walk around your body to show that there are no strings at all. Then you just let it drop.
And then the easiest part—one of the easy parts—you grab the card and you let it rest on top, grab it with your pinkie and your thumb and then you let these hands come in, and let go of the string. You just extend your hand and you show that it is a normal card, nothing to it.
So basically, that is just the new type of levitation which I learned on metacafe. If you want to see the person performing it, you have to go to learnmagictricks.org and it is probably, I think it is one of the first. It is called “The Real Card Levitation” or something like that, and it has something to do with the real.
