Carolina Rig Overview

Now, we are going to Carolina rig on this spot here. Again, this is the same spot we ran a spinnerbait through this morning. Basically, Carolina rig is your weight above your bait. This gives it a more subtle look. Your bait will float behind it. Carolina rig for different reasons, sometimes you get it above the grass, above the weed line or whatever.

Today, what we want out here is just a slow subtle fall. I have got a paddle tail worm. It works real good in slow conditions, you can move it real slow, and it will still have a lot of action. It will float and flutter to the bottom and sit there. Every time you move and drag it, it will pull up and then flutter, back to the bottom.

Now, we have have got, again, probably 30, 35 inch leader here. I am using a 4/0 hook, six-inch paddle tail worm. Green pumpkin. Clear water out here, and again, the paddle tail puts a lot of action when you move it real slow. So another favorite of mine that I have done well with out here.

But again, just the Carolina Rig, to give it a more subtle look on these tough biting fish, so we will see what happens.

Alright. Well, it looks like the Carolina Rig might be the ticket here. We first cast out there. We have already got a little activity. But anyway, who knows, I could have just bounced it off this one's head, but at least it's signs of life for us out here, so we will see.
