Carrie Bradshaw's Makeup: Behind the Scenes and Tips From Her Stylist Female: Sarah Jessica Parker’s personal makeup artist from Sex in the City gives BellaTV the exclusive dish on her favorite behind the scene moments and Carrie’s must-have beauty products. Judy: Hi, my name is Judy Chin. I am Sarah Jessica’s personal makeup artist. We are always inspired by her costumes. I feel it was a great inspiration, whether it be from something cool I saw in the subway or something I saw in the magazine or just someone like just strolling down street. Sarah, she is pretty great and that she trust that we will come up with something wonderful. I will just be like trust me, we will see. Female: Give us some examples of what you’ve tried that has been totally outlandish and you’ve have to rework? Judy: I was standing on the corner and I say this very tall Japanese woman. And she had white makeup from the center of her face just glowing out. She had a little hint of pink on her cheeks and it was just really pretty and I thought of that for Carrie’s book signing party season five. I started it and it was kind of cool but like maybe in a photo shoot and not for the scene. So, we pulled that back. I still kept the bit of the white shimmer going on. Female: What is the best part about working with her? Judy: The best thing about working with Sarah Jessica is it is a collaborative effort. We always have a lot of fun. We talk a lot about the scene, her character and what is fun to do. Female: What are some of Carrie Bradshaw’s classic go-to looks? Judy: For her eyes, what always works for her is lining her eyes on the inside, rimming her eyes in black, lots of mascara. For the most part at least for Carrie, you know we've always kept her lips very soft. A lot of times we will just use a lip liner on Sarah and a tiny bit of gloss or a lip balm. One liner that we have always used is liner from Face Stockholm. There is actually a color called Jessica that we've always used and another cool name Barbara which is a slightly deeper. Some of the things that I can’t live without for her eyes have been the MAC Powerpoint, pencil Engrave Mascara X has been a staple of ours.
