Stanford Milinga: And the cheetah is we call him Ide hunter and they is a solitary animals but was trying to stop for the impalas which is somehow difficult. Leopards are more specialized in killing the impalas than the cheetahs, and cheetahs specialized most on the gazelles, simply because the environment where you can also get all these animals, if you go to the gazelles, you find then in the plains. That’s why also the cheetah’s you find there because the cheetahs is very good on speeding and the gazelles also good on speeding, so they like to the plains most. But for the impalas there is nothing to eat, so whenever chances available you have to try to get that chances. So the cheetahs who is around and then there is a group of impalas, so he was like trying to stalk if you can get anything there.
And if you can see, you know that these guys are very good to stay in a bush and they are also very good on jumping. So sometimes you might use your energy trying to chase something which you cannot get. So you have to stalk and then try to keep that distance very short enough and then if you have got enough covers where you can hide somewhere and then make like surprising things on killing them. That’s only way you can succeed. Otherwise, you just leave them because we believe that when you’re trying to chase something it means that’s energy spending. So if you’re spending the energy, you need also time to get that what you’re hunting and then to eat it in order to recover your energy.
So if you find that loosing of energy don’t getting anything you will just give it up. So keep your energy maybe for tomorrow a chance might come, so tomorrow might be tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow. And once they it will reach no food and then their trying to chase you missed it out so that for the right choice we say that you are not survivor this way you have to go.
Female: So that was pretty especial, isn’t it?
Stanford Milinga: Yeah, that’s very specials to see cheetahs here in Tarangire. Although, they are so many here, but according to the environments lots of bushes and trees, so somehow it find them use to be difficult but cat, imagine just six, seven hours for when we get inside here. And then we get nice pictures of cheetahs just trying top stop to the impalas unfortunately he didn’t succeed but although he get some few stalking and then we head for that.
