When a recipe calls for chicken stock, it is best if you use homemade; however, in a pinch, you can find some quick, easy chicken stock options right on the supermarket shelf.

Chicken Stock Options

Chicken Stock Options Whenever recipes ask for a chicken stock, you have quite a few options. My preferred option is homemade stock which is not only the most flavorful, it is also totally natural. Believe it or not, once you make it a few times, you will see how easy it is to make. If I'm short on time however or have run out of my supply of frozen stock, I generally use a liquid stock from one of the many tetra packs available on the market. You can also use powder, bullion cubes or bullion paste which all makes for a good alternatives. A word of caution though, if you were buying pre-made or powdered stocks, just be sure they don’t contain any MSG and that they are not too high in sodium. This is also another reason why I like to make my own because with pre-made stocks and powders, you never know how salty they are which of course will affect whatever you are cooking.
