Chilled Carrot, Raisin & Fresh Pineapple Salad Recipe
Billy Parisi: Thanks for watching fixmyrecipe.com. Chef Billy Parisi here, our new fix goes to Angie of St. Louis Missouri. She submitted a recipe to us for a carrot salad. Angie, I know what you are doing wrong and I got a brand new fix for you. Angie this carrot salad is actually a super easy recipe; all that’s we need to do right now is, prepare our vegetables, get it ready to put together. Angie, one of the main problems is, you are not using fresh ingredients, I mean you are using can pineapple; use fresh pineapple, the flavor is going to be so much better and also be proud to use mayonnaise, it just sounds gross, no offense or anything, but instead we are going to use this yogurt honey and a pinch of salt.
You saw how easy that came together. Let me tell you something that taste where you pettier than that mayonnaise base that we are using. Now we would simply add in all our vegetables and fruit. Carrots, pineapple, fresh golden and dark raisins, and also be sure to cool it and serve it cold. Super, good, all that nice sweetness from the yogurt and honey, not that real flavor you are getting from the mayonnaise and notice this salad isn’t too runny either.
