Chocolate Diamond Martini Cocktail
Hi! And welcome to Common Man Cocktails. I’m your host Derrick Schommer. Today we’re looking at the Chocolate Diamond Martini.
This will have two frozen vodkas in it, we’re going to use. They’re all three olives. This is a three olive recipe. You don’t have to stick to three olives but typically when a company makes it like three olives, they like you to use all the ingredients because they’ve probably paid somebody for the recipe and it’s going to have the exact taste.
So what we’re going to do is a three olives brand. We got three olives vanilla and three olives chocolate. We’ve also got a little crème de cacao and I chose to do this recipe. We’ve done something similar. We did crazy cow and we did the mint Martini chocolate mints, there was another one. This is the third one and the one that’s most popular from my family specific actually, your family they’re always asking for this.
Now they don’t always end up getting it because I got to remember bringing the ingredients but they always like, “Oh, you got to make those Martinis” so this is something that if you’ve got some family and friends, you test this out on them and they’re probably going to ask for a second and a third and a fourth.
It just that good, so we’re also going to use this cool garnish from dressthedrink.com. We’ve had use this before the luscious leaves and we’re going to shake it and put it and strain it into our cocktail glass, Martini glass. I don’t really need to stir it. I was confused to shake it, or stir it I don’t know why they call it for shaking on this. It kind of clouds a little bit but that must be what they’re going for a fact. So what we’re going to do it as they ask.
So we’re going to do a half ounce of the chocolate and a full ounce of the vanilla and I’m going to guess it they chose that because this is pronounced chocolate wines and we’ve also got this other chocolate, the crème the cacao so we going to get a lot of that in fact from the chocolate and vanilla.
From my experience the vanilla is a little more subtle. It’s is a great ingredient when you want to add a little creamy dynamic to it because it kind of reminds me of like a Bourbon when you get that vanilla flavors from the oaks. Of course, there are no oak in here but we’re going to fake it.
So we’re going to use a half ounce of the crème the cacao which really makes an ounce of chocolate and an ounce of vanilla ingredients and there you go. Shake that up here and bring it in that time. With 10-second shake, strain it right into our cocktail glass so you’re going to get that cloudy fog rinse from it.
Now you could double the ingredients because as you could see my big cocktail glasses so you’re going to get a half. If I were to make it again maybe double the ingredients so that you can pour a little extra. Get it up to about here, you don’t want it too high because we’re giving you to guests and I don’t want to be spill it everywhere when you handing it to them. So, there you go, that my friends, is the chocolate diamond Martini with our cool little chocolate garnish.
You can also do like a chocolate around the edges if you have some chocolates like powders. You could probably powder the edges if you really want to fancy it up. Honestly, in my personal opinion, garnish or no garnish this drink sells itself once they taste it and it kind of looks like water so it doesn’t look very dangerous.
It taste like Hershey’s bar, some straight chocolate, there’s that little vanilla hints but this vanilla and chocolate right like a regular chocolate bar probably has hints of vanilla maybe. It just tastes like there’s vanilla. I could taste the vanilla but it feels like it should be in a chocolate bar.
Zero burn, all track that you can taste a little bit of the vodka but not the Bourbon on the vodka and I think that’s just because it’s so delicious and so sweet that you don’t even notice it. It’s just your palate is so happy. It’s dancing all over the place. It doesn’t know what else to do so I don’t think you getting that madness. You get that up, you know I’m getting any type of really burn or anything so for everybody I’ve seen in the family from grandparents to mother-in-law, father-in-law, not so much, but mother-in-law seems to be a very big hit. So, there you go, that is your chocolate diamond Martini.
I’m your host Derek Schommer and we’re teaching you how to drink.
