Hi, my name is Matt, and this is the Shirtless Apprentice.
Today, we are going to talk about some cameras that you can use from podcast. I am going to start with the low end of this spectrum.
I talk about the Sony PD-150, and PD-170. Now those cameras are important, because for relatively small amount of money that will allow you to get a broadcast quality podcast on the internet. It will give you enough options to film up.
However, they do not have a lot of the more professional options that lot of the cameras have, and you can quickly kind of jump over the head. Step up for a PD-150 or PD-170 will probably be DVX 108, would be. That is an important camera, because it is one of the better cameras to shoot 24 periods.
The DVX 100 is an important camera, because it allows you to shoot 24 pix. Now the 24P mimics to look a film, by writing 24 frames to the normal 30 frames and video. DVX is good, it is a well light camera, durable, right out the box, it is set up, give you a great look, and is actually has one of the better look in 24P’s, at whole age different cameras that they offers.
A camera that is a good step to the high definition market might be a GY HD110U. personally, I like that camera, because it gives you a manual lens, it allows you to shoot 720p, everything that you shoots is progressive, so it gives you a nice-smooth picture, it show the amounts, and also has professional inputs. Step up for not in prices would be a Panasonic HVX200. Now that is an interesting camera, because for the first time, it allows you to shoot high definition to a digital media and not a clip, which has pros and cons.
On the pro side, you have filed, not in tape but easy live and catch so you can take that file and copy it. You got multiple files.
The con side, the media that uses is very expensive, and once you are going to spend $2000.00 or $3000.00 in media you can only record about 11 minutes of high definition video and add-ons.
Also a hand help camera and it is kind of heavy. So I first use the ability at it goes, my opinion is kind of black, especially reconsidering that it is more expensive than JVC.
So to wrap things up, probably my personal favor is the JVC, because it gives you the high definition capability, the manual lens, the professional audio inputs and shows them handy. For the price, only $1500.00 or more tan the DVX or NXL2.
I think it is a great value. So I am Matt, and this is the shirtless apprentice.
